I’ve discovered incorporating epoxy resin into turnings. This includes both liquid epoxy as well as epoxy clay. This can bet a bit pricey, but it’s incredibly fun!
Final product, after the tenon was turned away and the first coat of finish was applied. The coloring of the epoxy on the top of the box turned out really, really well! From the bottom, the chunk that came out was replaced with epoxy can be seen as well as the other lines of epoxy that filled up when the larger section was filled with epoxy.
