Lately, it’s been hard to get into the Christmas spirit. Lots of stuff happening all at once with work, home, and the kids, kinda makes it hard to feel, well, Christmas-y. Since it was snowing outside, I went down to the shop to make some ornaments for the next woodturning club’s next monthly challenge. I started with the two smaller ones, thinking that would be enough to meet the minimum level of requirement for the challenge. Then, I made the other two tall ones. When my daughter saw those, she said, “Aw! You should make a little one”. Ok, so I made the little boy snowman. Now, she’s saying she wants a snow dog, maybe a snow octopus, perhaps a snow bunny, and like a whole family of snow people. I just smiled, knowing I have no intention of making any of those. Still, making ornaments for the kids who’s started their own families, dated, with their names on them might be kinda cool. I wonder how small I can make a snow baby ornament for my grand-daughter…
